I have a 75gal with Cutteri blue eyed striped Cichlids. I have to many really and I GIVE them away as I can.. I saw yesterday a pair spawned at the front of the tank. I see others now in corners to probibly in the large castle too with fry.. Great. Most wil NOT survive which is good as I can not get rid of the ones I have now.. Some pics.. Mom cutteri in the corner with fry, not sure U can see them.. The corner where they are at under a large fake stump: that small castle I placed in as a pair spawned their to help the fry out. they are not their now.. U should never disturb a nest, but I felt they deserved a fighting chance.. O welll.. I am sure others will survive.. MORE of the others on ONE side of the tank as the pair(s) are keeping all the non spawns their. Normal.. Dad and Mom cutteri who started this all in 2009.. Great cichlids really, just they are as bad as convicts when they spawn.. Keeping more together helps keep the population down.. LOLuck! pic taken in Oct 2010

What can I say about these wonderful cichlids, other than they are stil in this tank and I have 3x more than I should.. NO one wants them so they just have a nice family life in the 75gal.. Well I hope they do anyway.. I have lots of smaller ones, so they are mulitplying well but not to much as they others wil eat the fry when they go free swim.. Great way to keep the numbers down.. Later, Spring of 2014,,, I am placing them all in a 125gal just so see what 40+ would look like!! That should be an amazing sight for sure!!
Pics coming this weekend. Sunday I would say..Cold here so not anything else to do!! ha ha..
